If you're looking for stuff to do this weekend there will be lots of cool stuff happening within the local art community!
The Plaza will be hosting their monthly Plaza Walk on Friday, Dec. 11th from 7pm to 11pm. Be there to check out some really amazing art by Anthony Myers at DNA Gallery. Be sure to stop by Collected Thread for some excellent holiday gifts you won't be able to find anywhere else. On top of the usual excellence exuding from 1708 (Josh McCullock, Gibson Events, and Café Evoke), our web designer James Harber will be hosting an opening for the new location for Studio fj. Velvet Monkey will be showcasing art as well! They will be hosting the work of two friends of ours, Cody Lanphier and Ali Pullen (which I highly recommend viewing). As if that isn't enough to entertain you and you're feeling real crazy, my home tattoo shop No Regrets Tattoo will be open and partying too!
There is always a huge crowd and lots to explore during Plaza Walks. Grab a few friends and head down to 16th St. between Classen and Blackwelder on Friday night!
Following up on Saturday night, Kaleb Nimz and I will be having an art show at Coffee Slingers. The art has a strong graffiti and graphic design influence, showcasing four giant panels visible from Broadway Avenue at night! We will also be having music by local musican Bryan English and his band Meddle.
All these events are completely free to attend! See you there!
