What was 'Tree & Leaf'?

Tree & Leaf was a small Oklahoma based t-shirt company founded in 2006 by John Milner, Bryson Panas, Chase Kerby, and Dusty Gilpin. Over the years Tree & Leaf hosted art and music events and played a big role in building culture in OKC. Search the blog for history of specific artists, musicians, and events we hosted. We are super thankful for anyone who played a part in keeping our brand alive for 12 years.

Although the brand/store has been dissolved, each owner still continues to play their part in cultivating the Oklahoma City cultural landscape in their own way. Cheers!

I’m pouring a ton of focus into art for my upcoming show at @DNAgalleries on May 10th titled ‘Driven.’ It will feature a few complimentary works by @Jakebson and @fradycatsigns. 👀!!

Looking forward to @habitfest this year! OKC folks, plan to cruise to T-Town that weekend; there is a lot going on! @awhizer gave me a big wall and I’m super intimidated - wish me luck!

There were just a few trendy Oklahoma t-shirt printers around 12 years ago. I happened to be one of those folks. I’ve seen and printed a lot of buffalo, and lightning bolts, and OK phrases, and skylines, and scissortails, and Osage shields, and state outlines. The guys at @theokaysee have been printing this shirt for a year or so, and it is hands down the best Oklahoma shirt that’s ever been printed - and that title is likely to remain for all time. Amazingly, they did it without using any of those classic Oklahoma elements. Oklahomans are just about the only people that could absolutely love both Wayne Coyne and Garth Brooks music at the same time. I’m one of those people. Throw in a Wayne’s World reference and I’m overjoyed. Go see Kyle & Blake at The Okay See in the Farmers Market and tell them they did a good job making this shirt.

#B7CleanStart is coming to an end. These @NakedAndFamousDenim ‘Duck Canvas’ did their due diligence over the last 6 months. Lots of camping, painting, cycling, painting, hiking, painting, dog walking, painting, etc. I love this project that @blue_7 hosts every year. They are such a great retail spot for OKC. @more_than_ok has really cultivated community and mentored a lot of entrepreneurs, including myself. Stay tuned for information about the Clean Start #RawDenim showcase they will be hosting soon!

My dad had a yellow Honda Express when he first got married and lived in Stillwater. Like father, like son! Just picked up this hog yesterday so I’m not driving the big truck everyday for little errands. Braaaaap! #HondaExpress #NC50
