ART, PLAZA DISTRICTDusty GilpinComment

Last Friday was another beautiful LIVE on the Plaza and you can tell that spring is in the air. The air was energetic and the streets were packed with people. There was a great Irish punk band called The Righs that serenaded the evenings end to a crowd of people on the corner of Blackwelder and 16th and there was a fantastic selection of art openings. I've started to make it a priority to visit as much of the district as possible during the LIVE nights because I'm always worried I'm going to miss something. Here are a few snapshots from the evening, just incase you didn't see it for yourself. Most of the art pictured will most likely be up until the end of the month, so make sure not to miss it.

Big Nate at No Regrets always has the coolest cars parked out front...

It's always good seeing our frineds at Collected Thread. They have a new addition to their family, Noah. He's a pretty cool dude...

Jason Pawley and Sean Vali were up to their usual hooliganism at Studio G. Both are really doing amazing work right now and rapidly progressing. Their show was a huge success, and we're glad that Sean has moved back to OKC...

Really cool skate deck by the one and only, Sean "LION" Vali...

I really love this piece by Pawley...

We made sure to stop by The Salvage Room for their grand opening. Lots of cool stuff! Josh Reynolds was showing a few pieces, and as usual for Josh, they looked amazing. He is one of the most technically talented artists I've seen locally.

IVC Gallery & PhotoArt have teamed up together to start bringing you a great collection of art and photography openings during LIVE on the Plaza from now on. PhotoArt is a beautiful space and we're excited to see what this collaboration brings!

Make sure to visit The Plaza District early and often. There is never a dull moment in the district, and we love what's happening in the area! Stay connected to the Plaza's day-to-day on Instagram (@ThePlazaDistrict), Twitter, and Facebook!
