Blake Baldwin Skate Park

The Blake Baldwin skate park was developed in memory of Blake Baldwin who passed away in March 2000. With the help of Mat Hoffman and the city of Norman, the park was built at the corner of Andrews Park. While the park is in great shape, it maintains the dull grey tones of metal and concrete. This last weekend, a group of graffiti artists and the community of Norman came together to add a little color to the park. Here's some pictures from the event which will become a yearly painting.

Tanner Frady, Dylan Bradway, and myself all worked on the same structure. Tanner and I got a little goofy and just kept adding elements, it was a lot of fun. Dylan kept it rad as usual.

Yank got down.

The guys from DGF were doing work.

"TR" was lookin cool. Wish I would've seen the final piece.

It was a great day, and a fun time to build up a community! We'll post information on the event next year when the whole park get's another coat of paint!

Lastly, here are 3 photos I want to share with you:

I met JD Epperson this weekend. He's in our "GROW-A-BEARD" competition, and also has a wicked sweet tattoo...

Remember these? These basically sum up my childhood.

Until tomorrow!
