Gilpin's Graffiti

If you haven't seen it already, T & L's very own Dusty Gilpin was on the cover of the most recent edition of the Edmond Outlook magazine.  I'm sorry I have no graphic skills on the computer and can't enlarge this picture more but this is what the cover looks like featuring Dusty.

Edmond Outlook wrote a great piece on Dusty and his passion for the art of Graffiti.  You can read the entire article here.  I encourage all of you to read the article and learn about the art form that drives T & L's graphic designer and co-founder.

5 years ago I honestly couldn't tell you a thing about graffiti nor would I have identified it as a form of art.  Throughout our 5 years of working together to grow Tree and Leaf, Dusty has opened my eyes and appreciation for the art form he sometimes refers to as 'forbidden fruit'.  My appreciation for this art form stems from the many times I have watched Dusty in action.  It takes raw talent to take a blank canvas and a few cans of spray paint and create a colorful and vivid piece of art right before your very eyes.  Since the time we first opened our doors as a retail store, a piece by Dusty has always been a feature in our space.  Stop by our new store location to see a huge wall mural which Dusty collaborated with several other local artists to create.

I also encourage each of you to visit with Dusty about his passion for Graffiti.  I think you will be just like me and find a new appreciation for this art form.

Dream Big,
