3 weeks! 3 weeks! 3 weeks!
In a matter of only 3 weeks, some of the competitors begin to define themselves into their respective categories. We've got mustachees, beardoes, and the beardless! If you're an instagramer or tweeter, remember to use the #GrowABeardOK hashtag for all your selfies and whatnots. If you're reaching the week 3 blues, don't fret! Give your beard a few more weeks and it will fill out just fine (*fingers crossed*). I thought I might conjure up a little encouragement to help us muscle through what I would consider the most testing time for beard growing:
Week 3 Blues
I think that I might never see,
A beard as bad as in week 3,
It's patchy growth is in transition,
Will it ever reach fruition?
The Land of Beards I wish it's reigning,
Although it seems my beard is waning.
And if my chin hair never thickens?
I shall grow a 'stache like Charles Dickens!
If my hairs grow long and curly,
I'll grow a beard that's strong and burly!
Should my beard grows weak and frail?
I'll celebrate and win Beard Fail!
On to the bearding!
Looks like Zach is chillin' beachside this week! Per my photoshop expertise, I can 100% guarantee the authenticity of this photo.
"This week, my beard and I ventured to the famous Stonehenge! It was a wonderful trip. My growing beard is even developing a sense of humor! It said that Stonehenge should be named “Beardhenge!” Oh beard, you slay me."
Again, I 100% guarantee the authenticity of this photo.....
"And this is why I am called redbeard... The ginger has arrived"
The Ginger Beard Man!
"My beard is roaming wild and free like the mighty buffalo."
Poetically beautiful, Matt. Beard on gently into that good light.
"It had to go man! Had an interview to go to. :("
WORST. EXCUSE. EVER. Good luck at your new job, with all your new beardless friends.
AHHHHH! I haven't seen Logan all week, yet he works in my printshop. I hope nothing tragic happened after this photo was emailed...
Hugh Jazz aka Kolsen McLaughlin
"Didilly ding poopy doopy beard..."
This guy may or may not have had the 3 Week Beard Blues when I saw him in the Printshop today. Cheer up, K-Dawg! It will fill in soon enough.
Kevin K. Rhodes is a bearding fool! I think the 'K' stands for KickassBeardGrowingSkillz.
Kaemon Patterson aka YUNG BABYSHOE
Yung Babyshoe always up to no good. That chinstrap is filling out quite nicely! Keep on keeping on!
"REAL. HIP. HOP."
"Slow and steady wins the race."
Ain't nuthin' slow about this, Jerry. This is full tilt beard action!
"When you have a beard, you can look badass no matter what you're wearing!"
Exactly! By the way! Tomorrow is JD's big 30 birthday! Go visit his booth at the Plaza Festival and buy one of his cool shirts!
Bearding the best I can. I got myself a quality wife when I got myself a quality beard.
"Enjoying the beard. Living the dream!"
Davey is a heavy hitter in this competition. Not only is he growing a great beard, he's keeping those edges crispy clean!
"Man, already having to bust out the comb to keep things growing in the right direction...say what???? Smells pretty good as well thanks to that beard oil link, i mean whats more manly than your beard smelling cedarwood?"
I haven't made any of the oil yet, that's awesome! You'll have to send the recipe you used, and I'll post it.
Jean shirt. Ball cap. Scruffy beard. Dad status on point.
"Solomon is a little happier this week. Although his beard isn't growing too much everything else on him is."
Grow strong, little Solomon! Lookin' good, B!
"My beard and I will be participating in the OKC Walk to End Alzheimer's this Saturday morning in Bricktown. We walk to honor the memory of my grandfather and the other four members of my extended family that have been lost to Alzheimer's, and to show support to the over 5 million people who battle it as we speak. If you can, please consider helping me support the Alzheimer's Association as we work towards a world without Alzheimer's. For more info or to make a donation, visit http://act.alz.org/goto/bripelts Next week I'll go back to jokey beard names, promise."
Awesome, Brian! You're a good dude, keep up the good work!
Avery is recreating the inspiration behind Rodin's The Thinker. Happy thoughts to encourage beard growth!
"At the Urban T House this week. Not really a coffee house as they have tea but local indy cool vibe place. Week three finds good growth and more grey."
The 3 Week Blues will never deter Andy Boatman! Always in a chipper mood, always beard growing like a pro!
Keep growing strong! Visit us at the Plaza Fest if you're not doing anything Saturday!
